Terms of Sale
Cement Tiles sold by Rever Tiles are meticulously hand crafted, one at a time, by skilled artisans. Our tiles, like any handmade product, are perfectly imperfect and no two tiles will be the same. The natural components of cement, sand, marble dust and colour pigment are variable in nature, leading to slight variations in shade and tone of each tile. These variations are inherent to hand made cement tiles and are not considered a defect but rather a part of their appeal and should be expected. Additionally, slight variation in thickness, minor irregularity of line-work, edge irregularity / chipping and crazing may be present. These features do not compromise the performance of the tile but rather lend an authentic charm to every installation. Once installed cement tiles will only improve with age and wear and develop a beautiful patina.
When installing, it is important that the tiles are mixed to avoid clusters of shade variation in tiles. Pieces should be selected at random from different boxes. To further minimise variation, it is best to order enough tiles to complete your project, and depending on the area of installation, 10-15% overage.
Our tiles can be installed in a variety of applications, however not all areas are suitable. If values for characteristics such as absorption or slip resistance are required, please contact us in writing before placing an order. Our tiles are slip rated as P3, NATA accredited report is available upon request.
Once you have received your order, please take the time to inspect them (and admire them). Rever Tiles does not accept responsibility or liability for tiles once cut or installed. No claims will be accepted after installation.
Minimum Order Policy
We offer a broad range of designs that are in-stock, ready to ship for quick delivery. All orders are sold by the full box of 12 tiles (0.48 square metres or for hexagonal 0.41 square metres), accordingly orders will be rounded up to the full box. This is the minimum order that can be placed. Samples can be purchased prior to placing your order.
Stock levels will vary from time to time. Should your preferred tile not be in-stock, it is likely to be on back order. Should that be the case, we will advise at the time of enquiry. Please note lead time may be up to 12 weeks for delivery under these circumstances.
Ordering Procedure
If you would like to place an order, please complete the order/enquiry form or if you prefer, please call us at Rever Tiles. Please provide us with your estimated quantity (square metres), your postcode so we can advise on delivery cost, your tile(s) of interest and a time frame for when you need your tiles. Providing us with this information enables us to respond to your enquiry appropriately.
Sample tiles for in-stock tiles can be ordered and will be sent via Australia Post. We recommend purchasing sample tiles before placing an order, to ensure you are completely happy with your choice. If you would like to order a sample, please complete the order/enquiry form, include your address and contact number and the tiles that are of interest to you.
Once we have received your enquiry for orders or samples, we will confirm the price and delivery charge with you. Upon acceptance, an invoice will be generated and emailed to you.
Payment for sample tiles is required in full prior to postage of samples.
Pricing and Payment Terms
We are committed to providing our customers with the most affordable product. Quotes are valid for a period of 14 days. All sales are subject to GST. Payment is required in full for all orders prior to delivery. If you are not ready for your tiles, we can hold them at our warehouse for up to 3 months, a 20% non-refundable deposit is required. For not-in-stock or custom orders, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. The balance to be paid once your order is ready for delivery/pick-up. Payment method is by electronic funds transfer (EFT) to Rever Pty Ltd, details are provided at time of invoicing.
Order Cancellation Policy
Orders placed for tiles in-stock can be cancelled prior to packing of your order. Rever Tiles reserves the right to charge a 30% restocking fee in these circumstances. For not-in-stock and custom orders, we are unable to accept cancellations.
Shipping and Handling
Rever Tiles is committed to providing our customers with the most cost-effective shipping available. We have the capability to deliver to all areas of Australia and where possible will personally deliver your order.
When we deliver our tiles to your door, we can offer a reduced delivery charge and at times no charge at all. Great for those who are not in a hurry and happy to wait for the next run we have scheduled in your direction.
Via courier, you can expect your order to be delivered within 7-10 business days (usually less), however transport times do depend on destination.
If you are in a rush, we do offer a premium service and can have your order to you the next day; a surcharge applies for this service. An ETA for your order will be provided once payment has been received.
Please be advised that delivery is not included in the price of the tile and will be advised at the time of quotation.
Upon Delivery
Upon delivery please review your order for accuracy of materials ordered, and for any shipping damage. All tiles leave our warehouse in good condition and securely packaged. Any damage that is apparent upon delivery must be noted on the freight carrier delivery receipt presented to you for signing. If the damage is severe, we recommend you refuse the shipment entirely. If your order is damaged, please get in touch with us promptly. All claims for damaged or broken merchandise must be made within three (3) days of receiving your order.
Shade variation, minor chipping, crazing and uneven edges are not considered damage, these irregularities are intrinsic to this handmade tile and are not considered grounds for complaint.
Installation
Rever Tiles does not accept responsibility or liability for installation, sealing or refinishing of any product. No claims will be accepted after installation. Installation constitutes acceptance of the product.
Returns Policy
Any claim pertaining to colour, design, quality, or quantity must be resolved prior to installation. No Claim will be accepted once tiles have been fixed. Claims for product returns due to defect must be made in writing within three (3) days of receipt of your order.
Rever Tiles, in its absolute discretion, may accept non-defective Goods for return. Goods returned under this condition are subject to a handling fee of thirty percent (30%) of the value of the returned Goods, plus any freight costs. Rever Tiles cannot accept return of sealer or grout products that may have been supplied with the original order. Any Goods accepted by Rever Tiles for return must be in original and unopened packaging and product must be received in good order. The Client is responsible for the arrangement of, and costs associated with the transport of Goods from Clients location to destination in Seymour, VIC 3660. Rever Tiles will collect from any commercial transport depot in Seymour.
Tiles are fragile and can easily damage if not packaged securely. It is strongly advisable to package them as a single unit (for example in a ply box), not individually and/or select a carrier that specialises in the transport of fragile goods. It is also advisable to insure the Goods whilst in transit. Rever Tiles will inspect the Goods on arrival. If the Goods are damaged (in full or in part) Rever Tiles will not accept the return and will not be liable for any costs. The Client is to resolve directly with the commercial carrier.
Only after the goods have been received into the warehouse and inspected by Rever Tiles will a refund be provided, less charges. No credit will be given for product returned in non-saleable condition.
No returns will be accepted for custom and non-stock orders.
Consumer Guarantees
In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Rever Tiles guarantees that the product is free from defects in material and workmanship. Variation in colour and finish are to be expected in hand made tiles. Crazing and minor edge irregularity are inherent characteristics of cement tiles and are therefore not considered defects. The act of laying means the material is accepted for shade, quality, type and size.
Since the use of our goods is beyond the control of either the seller or the manufacturer, Rever Tiles only obligation shall be to replace any quantity of product which is proven defective.
Rever Tiles is not liable for any costs direct or indirect for repair or replacement as a result of improper installation methods (including grouting and sealing), installation in an unsuitable environment or on an unsuitable substrate. All tiles must be laid in accordance with the Australian Building Code in accordance with the Australian Standards by a licenced tiler. Misuse, abuse, accident, general wear and faults arising from improper maintenance is not covered under consumer guarantees.
